What is Anaphylaxis: Anaphylaxis is an allergic reaction which is very dangerous and needs immediate medical attention. If the person is not treated immediately there are chances of death of the person. They may occur due to latex allergy or allergy due to reaction of some medicine or even can be caused due to bee sting allergy. Correct medication and attention is necessary during such conditions to cure the problem. Sometimes allergies trigger more than one part of the body leading to fatal ends.
Symptoms of Anaphylaxis: Anaphylaxis is one of such condition. It usually causes breathing ways to tighten, pain in the abdomen, cough, vomiting and even unconsciousness. Skin may change to red and face, eyes and ears may start swelling. Usually the best thing to do in such a condition is to call an emergency ambulance. Oral pills should be generally avoided as they work slower. The person should be injected with the medicine if he has any. Its better not to give the person a pillow under his head if he has trouble in breathing, just make him lie down and try to calm him. As we know prevention is better than cure avoid foods or medicines which cause allergy. If you are already suffering from such serious allergies better carry the medication with you wherever you go only after your doctor's consent.
What is Bronchospasm: Another such condition which needs immediate attention is exercise induced bronchospasm. This usually triggers the breathing ways of a person making him breathless and causes wheezing. Pain in the chest, sore throat and stomach pain may also occur. This usually happens when the person exercises. During exercising or performing aerobics body needs more amount of breathing in and out. This is usually had to be done with the mouth also. This result in increased blood flow in the nasal passages resulting to airways getting obstructed and the person will not be able to regain breath soon.
It is quite difficult to be treated as the correct symptoms are not known. So it best to take precaution to avoid such situations to come up. If an athlete with such condition wants to continue with the vigorous training sessions special training ways should be adopted and preventive medicines should be taken. Exercising should be increased gradually followed by warm-ups. Sufficient gap of at least three to four hours should be given before and after meals to exercise.
