Basic Food Safety in The Kitchen

No we are not talking about the number of knives and pepper you have in your kitchen. Although these too might come to be as the safety tools when you are being robbed or raped in your kitchen! Anyway! Forget this! Kitchen safety over here simply implies the food safety you need yourself to put through otherwise you are preparing yourself for a scandalous disease coming its way.
Well frankly, this is something like preschool or primary classes where your teachers tell you about hygiene and how important it is. They also tell you about how you need to keep yourself clean and hands properly washed before you eat so that you may not swallow dirt and bacteria with the food you are taking. So yes, keeping clean is still as much important as it was when you were a little kid. Make sure you always wash your hands for about 20 seconds before entering and using the kitchen appliances. It is also important to wash and clean all the raw food products and vegetables before you put them in store in order to avoid any bacteria or germs to spread.
Refrigerating all the perishable food items such as cooked vegetables, milk, and raw as well as cooked meat along with many edibles is very important. Left over or cooked foods are at a greater risk to perish and rot than uncooked food. So it is a must to keep these things properly and under temperature control. It's important to take note of the fact that you must thaw food and not just leave it in the open at room temperature when you want to defrost. Keep the food inside the refrigerator and set it to defrost.
Keeping your fridge neat and clean is one of the keys to eating healthy food. It stores almost all the food products that you eat on a daily basis. It would be wise if you use the bottom drawers to store food that is more prone to perishing so that the bacteria and germs may not fall upon the other products. Keep a check of what has been inside and not used at all for a long time. Make sure you throw all the rotten or old, unused food within time and yes, don't even think about cooking it!
Lastly it is also wise to keep changing your table cloths and cleansing materials along with sponges. Bacteria can spread very quickly especially from subjects like wet towels and sponges, so make sure you change, wash or clean all your kitchen cloths before you use them.
